12U Advance to Ultimate Memorial Day Championship

The Golden Era 12U team advanced to the USSSA Ultimate Memorial Day Championship on Monday at PAL Stadium in San Jose. The team went 4-1 over the weekend to advance to their 7th Championship of the season.
The Memorial Day event was highlighted by tremendous pitching. Nathan Hovey went 4 strong innings in Game 1 to pick up the win, with Josh Hall coming in to close down the game for the final two innings.
Game 2 seen another strong starting pitching performance from Brandon Hoover, with William Lingua coming in to finish up the win.
Game 3 the story of great starting pitching continued with Tre Miles on the mound. Tre went 4 impressive innings before turning the ball over to Blake Smith to finish up the win.
Game 4 the starting pithing kept going, with Griffin Hamlin going the distance for a complete game shut out!
As impresssive as the pitching was, the hitting over the weekend was just as impressive.
Eric Bacanskas hit a missle 3 run home run in game 2
Ajay Moore also connected for a 3 run home run in game 2
Brandon Hoover launced a 2 run home run in game 3
Jake Rogers hit a WALK-OFF GRAND SLAM in game 3
Chris Wagner just missed a walk-off 3 run home run in game 4, with the ball hitting off the top of the wall
And not to be outdone, Eric Bacanskas hit a tape measure grand slam in game 4 as well
Tremendous weekend and tremendous effort by all the players over the Ultimate Memorial Day tournament.
