Welcome to Golden Era Baseball and our 8U to 14U (8th Grade) Travel Team Program.
Our teams are open to players from all across Northern California, with Training - Practice locations in place in the Bay Area ~ and Sacramento.
Our Program is for players who love nothing more than to be on a baseball field and as parents your looking to put your player in an environment to maximize his potential and opportunities…
Our Youth Travel Team Program stands on the platform of two very simple goals:

DIRECTORS of DEVELOPMENT
One of our staples as a Program is each location is led by a Director of Development.
Each Director of Development brings a different style, knowledge and advanced baseball background to the Program.
Directors write the Practice Plans for each location - Structure the training and aspects of Player Development - And work directly with each player within their location.
Current Directors of Development backgrounds include a former 14-year former professional player, a former college coach as well as passion driven coaches with one goal, to help players become the player they could be...
BERNARD CASTON
Greater Sacramento Director of Development
Coach Bernard Caston is a 14-year former professional player. After playing college baseball, Coach Caston began his professional baseball journey, where he played in the Detroit Tigers organization for years. After baseball with the Tigers, his path took him all across the world playing in various professional leagues.
Within the coaching ranks Coach Bernard has worked with and helped countless players over the years, many of whom are still in the Major Leagues today.
DEREK BELL
Greater East Bay Director of Development
Coach Derek Bell is a former college coach and has coached over a thousand players who have moved on to play high school baseball, hundreds who have moved on to play college baseball, including several who have been drafted by Major League teams, and even a few who have reached the Major Leagues.
ANGEL COTA
Greater East Bay Co Lead Instructor
Players are going to love our newest member to the team, Angel Cota!! Angel is actually a former Golden Era player who started here at 11 years old. Angel played in the program through high school, where he moved on to play college baseball at Simpson University.
Angel brings recent college baseball player exterience, energy, enthusiasm and passion to everything out on the field, and we are truly glad he's here to pass that on to the up and coming players of today!!

JOIN PROGRAM - TRYOUTS

Tryouts for our 2026 Golden Era travel teams will take place throughout the fall until rosters are full.
-
PRO-STYLE WORKOUT - Players will go thru a 'Pro-Style' workout, consisting of measuring arm-strength, running speed, as well as evaluating hitting and defensive ability.

TRY-OUT FEE - There is no fee to attend a tryout.
-
VIDEO TRYOUT EVALUATION - If you are unable to attend an on-field tryout you are welcome to send over SHORT video clips to serve as your players tryout. There is no charge for video evaluations.
