The Akintunde Ahmad Award was established in 2014, in recognition of former Golden Era player, Akintunde Ahmad, for his academic achievements.

 

Akintunde while in High School earned a 5.0 GPA, had nearly perfect SAT scores, and was accepted to just about every prestigious academic insitution in the country, before choosing Yale.

 

The award is given to our current GE All-Academic Honor Roll Players.

 

The criteria to win the award is a player must receive a 3.5 Grade Point Average or higher.
